WILDFLOWERS BY COLOR

Some plants show a great deal of variation in the color of their flowers.   As an example, butterfly milkweed ( Asclepias tuberosa ) can be orange, red, or yellow.   Wildflowers are listed on this website by their most commonly observed color.   The accompanying descriptive information should be read to determine if an individual plant will exhibit alternate flower coloration.
